Job Summary:

The Lead Developer, Web & Mobile Applications oversees the development and maintenance of customer-facing web and mobile applications, ensuring they align with business requirements and priorities. This role focuses on architecting and developing advanced applications with a focus on clean code, performance, security, and usability. The Lead Developer provides technical leadership, coaching, and consulting services across the organization, guiding colleagues through development and deployment processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Architect and develop complex web and mobile applications, emphasizing clean, reusable, and reliable code.
  • Provide technical leadership and coaching to the development team, guiding them through the project implementation cycle.
  • Lead activities related to monitoring, analysis, design, development, and implementation of web/mobile solutions.
  • Conduct code and technical design reviews to ensure efficient testing and code promotion.
  • Lead internal quality assurance reviews, analysis/design, coding, testing, debugging, and documentation for web development activities.
  • Research, evaluate, and recommend new tools or applications to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Manage Content Management Systems (CMS) with a focus on Drupal (experience and certifications a plus).
  • Develop applications using emerging technologies and industry trends.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and vendors to develop, implement, and support web systems/applications.
  • Train colleagues on IT support purposes and tools used to manage website content.
  • Act as project manager for assigned projects, leading requirements gathering, project planning, and vendor engagements.
  • Ensure project delivery within allocated budgets/schedules, providing technical leadership, and fostering positive working relationships.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in web and mobile application development.
  • Strong proficiency in architecting and developing complex applications.
  • Ability to lead and mentor a development team effectively.
  • Familiarity with emerging technologies and industry trends.
  • Proven track record of successful project delivery and client satisfaction.
