A Smarter Way to Move Cargo

In an age when customers expect instant deliveries, real-time tracking, and transparent shipping, mid-tier courier businesses often find themselves left behind. The client a fast-growing cargo enterprise with operations across multiple regions—was still managing logistics manually. With no centralized booking, fragmented dispatch systems, and zero customer visibility, they struggled to meet rising demand. Mobiloitte stepped in to build Exspress, a fully digitized cargo mobility platform designed to bring structure, speed, and scalability to a complex freight network.

The Challenge: Manual Cargo Ops in a High-Speed World

The client’s legacy systems couldn’t keep up with modern logistics expectations. Cargo bookings were handled over phone calls, drivers worked off paper dispatches, and customers had no way to track shipments. Operations teams lacked real-time visibility, coordination between hubs and dispatchers was inconsistent, and there was no digital infrastructure for payments or analytics. These inefficiencies led to delayed deliveries, missed pickups, and unhappy customers. The business needed a single digital backbone to manage every shipment from booking to delivery. Exspress was envisioned as that foundation.

Why Mobiloitte Was Chosen

Mobiloitte’s history of delivering full-stack logistics solutions and its ability to move from concept to MVP within tight timelines made it the ideal partner. The client valued our expertise in crafting mobile-first experiences that empower both enterprise teams and end customers. We approached Exspress not as a one-off application but as a product with long-term monetization potential designed to evolve into a SaaS platform for future partners.

Building the Exspress Ecosystem

The development journey unfolded in two parallel tracks one focused on the operational engine that drives booking, tracking, and dispatch, and the other dedicated to customer experience and engagement. A comprehensive admin dashboard allowed managers to oversee cargo orders, routes, staff roles, and analytics in real time. The driver app provided dispatch acceptance, route navigation, proof of delivery with digital signatures or OTP verification, and live milestone updates. Customers could book shipments via web or app, track real-time delivery progress, receive instant notifications, and manage digital invoices. A dispatcher control interface connected all moving parts through a live map view, enabling swift task assignment and delay resolution.

The Technology Behind the Transformation

Exspress was built on a robust full-stack architecture that prioritized performance and reliability. The frontend was developed using ReactJS for the web interface and React Native for mobile, while the backend was powered by Node.js with the Express framework. Data was managed through a hybrid database setup MongoDB for shipment records and PostgreSQL for transactional data. Integration with Google Maps, Twilio, Stripe, and Firebase enabled real-time tracking, communication, and secure digital payments. Hosted on AWS with Dockerized services, the system used CloudWatch for monitoring and delivered seamless uptime.

From Booking to Delivery - Fully Connected

Mobiloitte designed Exspress as a unified digital framework that connects every actor in the cargo delivery chain. From the moment a customer books a shipment to its final drop-off, every action, alert, and update flows through a single synchronized system. Drivers receive dispatches in real time, dispatchers can monitor routes and intervene instantly, and customers stay informed with live notifications. The entire workflow from invoicing to delivery proof is automated, reducing manual overhead and ensuring consistency across every shipment.

The Exspress Effect

Within just ninety days of launch, the transformation was unmistakable. Delivery delays dropped by thirty-eight percent, and sixty-five percent of all bookings shifted to digital-first channels, eliminating reliance on manual calls and paperwork. Over twelve thousand shipments were processed in the first cycle with a ninety-six percent delivery success rate. Customer satisfaction soared, with Net Promoter Scores jumping from 5.9 to 8.7 in two months. Driver productivity rose by over forty percent, aided by real-time route optimization and automated alerts. The support team moved from firefighting to proactive monitoring thanks to intelligent notification workflows running around the clock.

What the Client Said

“Exspress has changed the way we operate. Our shipments move faster, our customers stay informed, and our team finally has time to focus on scale not firefighting. Mobiloitte didn’t just build a platform; they helped us build capacity.” - Client Representative (Under NDA)

A Platform Built to Scale and Inspire

Exspress has evolved beyond its initial mandate as an internal logistics solution. It is now positioned to serve as a white-label SaaS product for regional courier partners, enabling them to run their own digital cargo operations under the same technology umbrella. The platform has also opened doors to partnerships with airport cargo handlers and large-scale logistics firms exploring integrated freight solutions.

A Vision of Velocity and Precision

Exspress represents more than software it embodies intelligent logistics design that turns a courier business into a connected cargo network. It’s the story of how data, design, and technology can merge to make movement smarter, faster, and infinitely more reliable.
