Latest Announcements from Google I/O 2016

Google I/O has wrapped out of the box announcements in 2016. You can check out the Google’s round-up major highlights from the keynote below. Android N, Google Home, Google Daydream, new messaging apps Allo and Duo Apps, Android Instant App, Android App etc.

Google Home and Google Assistant

Google Home and Google Assistant: – Google I/O 2016 revealed its new product that is Google Home, it’s a wireless speaker powered by Google Assistant. Now, Google has voice based virtual assistant. It allows you to access albums, playlists, songs, albums, podcasts, artists, etc.

Android Instant Apps
Android Instant Apps: – Google announced the amazing feature that is Android Instant Apps. It is the special concept for the customers via they can conveniently access some applications without any installation and download process.

Google Daydream
Daydream: – Google has released a new VR platform that is Daydream and supports a mobile virtual reality platform. The major issue with Daydream is that it will work on new mobiles that have exclusive screens and sensors.

Android Auto
Android Auto
: – Now, this announcement for drivers and popular traffic tracking application (i.e. Waze) is built into Android Auto. Through Auto app, drivers can see the accident alerts and speed warnings as well. Previous version required wired connection, but with the new feature you can connect to cars over WiFi.

Allo and Duo Apps
New Messaging Apps (Allo & Duo): – Now, Google has two messaging applications Allo and Duo. Allo, it has usually messaging and chatting features, including some custom stickers, emoji, font size, and much more. Whereas, Duo is FaceTime Application and mainly used for video calling – it is the biggest competitor to Apple’s FaceTime and Skype. Both applications – will be available on Android and iOS.

Android N
Android N: – Google has also announced the improvements (like to enhance graphics, runtime performance and security enhancements) in the latest version of Android N. A full-blown version of Android N will be releasing later this summer. The latest version of Android name is still pending, for that Google has created a site where anyone can give their suggestions.

Android Wear 2.0

Android Wear 2.0: – It is the first update to the wearable platform from last two years. There are many changes in the Android Wear 2.0 watch faces, improvement in messaging, better fitness tracking and more. These watches can be standalone, that means they can have cloud-based accessibility via WiFi, Bluetooth and a cellular connection.
